Doing a DNA test for your immigration case can assist you in providing proof of relationship to immigration when other evidence fails to do so. While a DNA test may not always be requested it can be a very effective and efficient way to prove your relationship. Doing your DNA test can also help expedite the immigration process.


DNA testing can determine multiple kinds of relationships including, paternity, maternity, sibling, grandparent, avuncular, and materteral tests. Our lab is fully equipped handle all these DNA tests that may be requested by immigration.  


Tests are conducted using a buccal swab and is a non-invasive and painless procedure. 


No, for immigration DNA tests and other tests that may require a chain-of-custody, sample collection must be done in the presence of an authorized sample collector.

Yes.  The consulate or embassy will provide you with some simple paperwork, often a letter, that has your immigration case number on it.  That number will be provided on your test report so that everything can be keyed to your file.  The lab will send a collection kit to the consulate and contact your relative to schedule their sample collection.  They will need to provide identification when their sample is collected.


Upon receipt of all samples testing will take 1-3 business days. Expedited options are available if needed.  


This is something that the lab has no control over.  Once your test report is sent out, everything else is in the hands of the consular office.
